Yes it looks better, and insures the exhaust doesn't blast on the rear brake lever assembly. My concern with and reason why I went to the Super Trapp from the free HD double taper (don't have a better desription of it, my brother savaged it out of hid HD dealers junk bin for me). Must have been as stock unit as it has a center baffler so all the exhaust has to go through the packing. Also fairly quiet.
